Uzbekistan has received permission to export lemons to China.

The Plant Protection agency of Uzbekistan and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China signed a protocol on phytosanitary requirements and control over the export of lemons from Uzbekistan to China.

The document provides that Uzbek lemons will be exported to China according to the rules of the World Trade Organization, the International Convention on Quarantine and Plant Protection, as well as the legislation of the People's Republic of China on food security. The exported product should not contain quarantine objects, considered dangerous for the Chinese side. For example, these include various pests.
